Facilities and Services

Our university banquet and meeting facilities are impressive and range from intimate classrooms and boardrooms to the 18,000-seat Colonial Life Arena and unique Top of Carolina revolving restaurant. The university’s proximity to the nearby multipurpose Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center makes planning easier. Meeting at the University of South Carolina offers the added benefits of cutting-edge technology and support with state-of-the-art auditoriums and studios, audio-visual rentals, video conferencing facilities, internet access, e-mail, computers and fax machines. We offer a wide range of campus Recreation and entertainment opportunities. Other conveniences include on campus ATMs, printing and post office facilities.

Larger venues include the Koger Center for the Arts, an ultramodern concert hall with a stage, theatrical lighting, and an expansive lobby for displays and exhibits.

Carolina Coliseum, which has several meeting rooms and auditoriums of various sizes and offers ample parking and stadium-style seating for several thousand.

The Colonial Life Arena, the largest arena in South Carolina with seating for 18,000 and ranked by industry publication Pollstar Magazine as the No. 1 college arena in the world and the top arena in the Carolinas, based on 2006 ticket sales.

The Russell House University Union, which can accommodate groups up to 600 with its ballroom, theatre and meeting rooms. Capstone House, which houses the Top of Carolina, the only revolving restaurant on a university campus and the Campus Room and Keystone Rooms.

Classrooms and auditoriums include “smart rooms” complete with state-of-the-art multimedia systems. All classrooms are wired for network access and wireless access is available on the university grounds and in many buildings.
