Meet the Instructor
Thomas M. Neal, III, graduated from Baptist College at Charleston in 1980 with a B.S. in Political Science. He graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1984, and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in the same year. He clerked for the Honorable George T. Gregory, Associate Justice (Ret.) of the South Carolina Supreme Court. He served as an assistant solicitor for the Fifth Judicial Circuit, primarily prosecuting child abuse and neglect actions in Family Court. He entered private practice in 1988 with the Law Firm of Oxner & Oxner in Columbia, South Carolina, and opened his own office in 1997. His practice is limited to Family Court and appellate matters. Much of his practice is devoted to representing children in private custody actions. He currently serves on the Children’s Committee of the South Carolina Bar, and on the Education Subcommittee of the Children’s Committee. He is also a member of the American Bar Association. He is a member of the Family Law sections of both the S.C. Bar and the A.B.A. |
