Meet the Instructor
Michele Dames is a technology consultant for Teaching and Technology Services at University Technology Services at USC Columbia. In her position she introduces and trains the USC community on the best ways to use technology to enhance their classes. She has years of graphic design experience and teaches several art and new media classes at USC that focus on digital photography and graphics using Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Flash. Ms. Dames has presented at several conferences including Blackboard Institute and has organized The Columbia Macintosh User Group and USC iMovie contest. Michele serves on the Provost Advisory Committee for Women's Issues and the Graphic Arts Technology Committee for Heyward CATE. She holds a master of media arts degree and is an education doctoral student researching technological literacy. Michele enjoys playing tennis, volleyball and music when she is broadcasting on 104.7 WNOK and 97.5 WCOS. Her weekends include volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters and catching up on her Tivo.
